Karen Elson and Jack White Divorce, Throw Party
First comes love, then comes marriage ... then comes the divorce party?
Flame-haired model/singer Karen Elson and rocker Jack White have issued a press release announcing their divorce, which they intend to celebrate with a party, Beatweek Magazine reports.
“We remain dear and trusted friends and co-parents to our wonderful children Scarlett and Henry Lee," the couple of six years say in the statement. "We feel so fortunate for the time we have shared and the time we will continue to spend both separately and together watching our children grow.
"In honor of that time shared, we are throwing a divorce party. An evening together in Nashville to re-affirm our friendship and celebrate the past and future with close friends and family.”
Um ... awkward? Of course, White does have a history of amicable relationships with his former flames, most notably ex-wife Meg White, with whom he went on to form The White Stripes.
And now that The White Stripes have split up as well, White might just have an opening for a rockin' ex-wife bandmate. Oh, Karen ...
