Karen Elson and Nine West Collaboration - Sneak Peek
Hot on the high heels of Sophie Theallet’s and Giles Deacon’s collections for Nine West, the company has secured yet another hot collaboration.
Karen Elson has designed a limited-edition accessories line for Nine West Vintage America, the Americana-inflected line launched by Nine West in 2008, Women’s Wear Daily reports. Elson’s collection will include shoes, handbags, and jewelry inspired by such vintage (naturally) themes as the dust bowl of the ’30s and burlesque dancers.
“My dream of designing a collection that’s a true reflection of me has now come to life through this collaboration,” Elson told WWD. The model, singer, and now designer will also be the face of the collection, which will be priced at $149 to $269 for footwear, $69 to $99 for handbags, and $32 to $44 for jewelry.
“An otherworldly beauty and modern muse like Karen Elson truly embodies the inextricable connection between fashion and music,” said Nine West creative director Fred Allard. “I was not only inspired by her music but also by her powerful personality, attitude, allure, and undeniable talent.”
Elson’s collection for Nine West Vintage America will bow in September, though pre-ordering for the pieces will begin in July at ninewest.com/vintageamerica.
