The McQueen store window in London
The Alexander McQueen label certainly knows how to mess with our mind.
Though the brand has denied reports that creative director Sarah Burton is designing the top-secret wedding dress for royal bride-to-be Kate Middleton ("I am the CEO," CEO Jonathan Akeroyd has said. "I would know if we were doing it."), it hasn't stopped them from having a little fun with the attention.
A TwitPic from Evening Standard fashion editor Laura Craik reveals that the shop windows for the London McQueen store feature bride and groom mannequins wearing a plunging, Empire-waist ivory gown and a wedding suit, respectively.
The window display comes just days after the release of Harper's Bazaar UK's May "Fashion Royalty" issue featuring Kate Moss in two bridal-esque Alexander McQueen gowns.
Coincidence? PR stunt? Royal wedding spoiler? Guess we'll have to wait until April 29 to find out for sure.
