Kate Middleton’s wedding dress is rumored to be Alexander McQueen.

Another name has surfaced in the breathless pursuit for Kate Middleton's wedding dress designer.

London's Sunday Times and the Telegraph have both reported that the brunette bride-to-be will wed Prince William on April 29 in a creation by Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton.

"The design of the dress [will] be a combination of Miss Middleton’s own ideas and Ms. Burton’s quirky interpretation of high fashion," the Telegraph claims, adding that Burton was “chosen for the discretion afforded by her relatively low profile, as well as for her alternative take on elegance.”

Burton, who took over the helms of the McQueen label following the 2010 suicide of Lee Alexander McQueen, joins names like Bruce Oldfield and Philippa Lepley as potential designers for the big royal wedding gig.

However, those in the McQueen camp are denying the rumors, with Burton herself saying "I am not doing it."

"No, not at all," says McQueen CEO Jonathan Akeroyd. "I am the CEO. I would know if we were doing it."

Buckingham Palace, meanwhile, is less dismissive but just as secretive.

"We are not commenting on speculation about the designer's identity," a spokesperson told Vogue U.K.

"Miss Middleton wants it to be a surprise for Prince William on the day."
