Kate Middleton's Black Beret Is Tops
She’s not even a princess yet, but Kate Middleton is already sporting quite an impressive crown.
Attending a friend’s wedding recently, 28-year-old Middleton stole the spotlight in a black felt beret from British milliner Whitely Fischer, reports People magazine.
The royal bride-to-be paired her whimsical topper — which featured a single feather piercing through three loops — with a black dress from Issa (also the designer of her blue engagement-announcement ensemble, of course), a Libélula velvet jacket paired with plum-colored shoes and a matching handbag.
“Hats seem to be very fashionable at the moment,” Whitely Fischer director Peter Whiteley tells People. “Once someone like Kate starts wearing them, I’m sure more people will follow.”
And maybe they’ll also don the hat at a wedding — like, say, the April 29 nuptials of Middleton and Prince William, perhaps?
