We always knew Prince William and Kate Middleton were a close-knit couple, but this is taking it to a whole ’nother level.
A new needlework book out this month will show the Will-and-Kate obsessed how to create dolls of the couple dressed for their “I do” day, reports the Daily Mail.
Knit Your Own Royal Wedding provides patterns for crafting several key members of the wedding party, including the groom, who is dolled up in dapper blue military threads—an ensemble similar to the one he is expected to wear for his April 29 nuptials at Westminster Abbey.
And while the actual design of his bride's gown remains the source of much speculation (Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton is rumored to be doing the honors), the mini Middleton wears a cap-sleeve, scoop-neck creation courtesy of the book's author, Fiona Goble.
“Kate was the hardest for me to create because she is pretty. They're not supposed to be caricatures,” said Goble, who accessorized the Middleton model with a tiara, earrings, a diamante blue engagement ring, and jeweled blue slippers.
Knit Your Own Royal Wedding, available on March 29 at amazon.com, also includes patterns for other important players in the big event, including Queen Elizabeth—who is decked out in a signature blue dress and pearls—Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall Camilla, Archbishop Rowan Williams, and several of the family’s pet corgis.
And ladies, rejoice: William may be taken but you can still get your hands on Prince Harry—there’s a pattern for him too!
