Kristen Stewart Covers British Vogue, Talks Fame and Going Blonde
Look away, Robert Pattinson! Kristen Stewart has landed on the October issue of British Vogue.
Interviewed before her scandalous fling with director Rupert Sanders, the actress rocks floral-print Gucci while weighing in on her admiration for the Beat generation (she's starring in the upcoming film adaptation of On the Road) and her struggle to adapt with fame.
"I know that if you haven't thought about how you want to present a very packaged idea of yourself then it can seem like you lack ambition," she tells the magazine. "But, dude, honestly? I can't. People expect it to be easy because there you are, out there, doing the thing that you want and making lots of money out of it. But, you know, I'm not that smooth. I can get clumsy around certain people. Like if I were to sit down and think, 'OK, I'm really famous, how am I going to conduct myself in public?' I wouldn't know who that person would be! It would be a lot easier if I could, but I can't."
Fair enough. And while we'll have to wait until the issue hits newsstands to see if there's any mention of R-Pattz, the Balenciaga campaign star does share her thoughts on going blonde for On the Road. Clearly, she's not a fan.
"I feel like my whole body rejects it, but it was really important for the character," she recalls. "It was like learning an accent!”
Should Meryl Streep be worried?
