Victoria Beckham: Glamour Cover Star and Guest Editor
Victoria Beckham and pal Eva Longoria have more than just a clothing size in common: They've each landed cushy September cover shoots!
Of course, Vicky B. just has to go the extra mile with her Glamour fashion spread, devoting five months of her time to guest-editing the all-important September issue. We take it that she means she approved of her campy cover shoot, which sees her rocking a Stephen Russell tiara in the bubble bath.
"It’s been exciting for me to see my ideas come to life, from type colors to photo selection to casting," the designer, playing up her editing role in studious specs and a red and black striped dress of her own design. "I even made my own list of Glamour fashion Don’ts to keep out of the issue: boat shoes (unless of course you’re designer Alber Elbaz or on a boat!), Bermuda shorts, nose rings, Crocs, and American tan tights (that’s nude pantyhose to you)."

Duly noted. Photographed by Pamela Hanson, Beckham's playful shoot will no doubt be a stark contrast to her upcoming French Elle spread lensed by Karl Lagerfeld and inspired by Coco Chanel. Here, the Spice Girl sips a strawberry milkshake in a lacy orange Lover top and Dolce & Gabbana lingerie cinched with a Victoria Beckham belt—but still, the smiles are few.

"I actually used to smile a lot in pictures, Beckham says. "I think I only stopped smiling when I got into fashion. Fashion stole my smile! I’ve created this person. And I’m not saying that’s not me, but I wouldn’t say that’s the whole me ... It’s an armor that goes up."
She also opens up about the possibility of having a fifth baby ("never say never"), her current obsession with 50 Shades of Grey, and what it was like when hubby David came out to support her Fall 2012 Fashion Week show.
"It was the first time," she says. "He’s always been working or training. But I was nervous about this show. I was feeling a lot of pressure. He phoned me the night before, and I just said, 'I want you to come be with me. I want a cuddle. I really do.' And it was great to have him there. I think he was surprised; I don’t usually bother him with much detail. And then you get there, and the models, the hair, the makeup … I think he was blown away!"
We all are, lady!
