After being named the automobile maker's creative design executive in 2010, the fashion favorite has revealed her sleek designs for the Range Rover Evoque Special Edition, of which only 200 models will be made.
Priced at a steep £79,995 (or $128, 794 U.S.) apiece, the elite auto is surprisingly sporty, with hand-finished baseball-like stitching inspired by Beckham's favorite athlete, husband David. (Alas, you'll have to add your own "I Brake For Becks" bumper sticker.)
"Victoria always maintained that she wanted her husband David to be proud to drive this car," Range Rover design director Gerry McGovern said at a Beijing press conference on April 22.
Outfitted in a strapless gray, brown, and block dress of her own design at the Beijing event, Beckham explained that she and her team also looked at yachts, luxury jets, and classic cars to influence her design. The Evoque's mohair floor mats, for instance, are a nod to childhood memories of sinking her bare feet into the plush carpeting of her father's Rolls-Royce.
Beckham, who also appears in a campaign shot by Nick Knight, also added a bespoke four-piece leather luggage set, hand-sewn leather wallet for the owner's manual, textured aluminum, vintage-inspired leather seats, and rose-gold-plated interior accents. Fancy!
"I have an enormous amount of respect for the brand," she says. "I've always driven a Range Rover. For me they are the epitome of quality and luxury."
What, like you'd ever see this soccer mom in a basic minivan?
