Report: Andrej Pejic Up for Lead Movie Role
He’s hinted in the past that his career dreams aren’t limited to the modeling world. Is Andrej Pejic about to get his big movie break?
The androgynous model phenomenon is reportedly up for the lead role in the movie adaptation of Honoré de Balzac's novel Séraphita. Frockwriter reports that Pejic has already been approached for the role by French director Florence Dewarvin.
The lead character is, appropriately, a beautiful and androgynous youth who goes by two names: the masculine Séraphitus and the feminine Séraphita. Though the novel was published in 1834, it was recently adapted for the stage in Paris.

"He's a phenomenon, that’s for sure—and he's unique, there is only one," Pejic’s Paris agent, Arnaud Vanbleus, told the site. "Everyone wants to have him. But the thing usually is, they either don’t have the budget or we’re not interested in the project."
Last year, Pejic said in an interview that he's interested in the offers that have been coming his way. "With all the publicity, it’s opened a wide range of options," he said. "Maybe a movie, maybe stuff on TV.” Does this mean he could be joining fellow models-turned-thespians Gemma Ward and Lily Cole?
No deals have been inked as of yet for Séraphita, but consider us intrigued. Watch this space!
