Andrej Pejic to Meet the Queen
Now this should be interesting ...
Our fantasy dinner party is about to become two-fifths complete thanks to the upcoming meet-and-greet scheduled between Queen Elizabeth II and ... wait for it ... cross-dressing male model Andrej Pejic.
The Australian-Serb stunner has managed to snag himself an invite to Buckingham Palace for an October 13 reception honoring Australia in advance of HRH's visit to the country, Frockwriter reports. (Insert "My Dinner with Andrej" joke here.)
Now comes the big question: What will the androgynous blonde wear?
“The recommended dress code for receptions at Buckingham Palace is Day Dress/Lounge Suit," Buckingham Palace press officer Marnie Gaffney tells the fashion blog.
"However, this is for guidance only and guests are welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.”
Of course, Pejic might want to toss some tights into his bag, just in case. The palace reportedly requires (female) guests like the Duchess and her sister Pippa to wear hosiery and close-toed shoes.
We're pulling for a Jean Paul Gaultier wedding gown (seen above) and a Princess Beatrice-approved Philip Treacy topper. Oh, to be a fly on the wall ...
