Diane von Furstenberg’s Dating Style Advice to Match.com Singles
Why would we turn to Diane von Furstenberg for dating advice? She's landed a prince and one of the richest men on the planet. Why wouldn't we turn to her for dating advice?
The CFDA president is lending singles her sartorial skills by teaming up with Match.com for three live styling sessions throughout the month of November.
Scheduled for November 2 in New York City and November 10 in Dallas and Miami, the legendary designer will impart her fashion wisdom as it relates to the dating world. On the agenda? Tips for what to wear to first dates built around cappuccinos, cocktails, and dinner. ($20 says a wrap dress makes the cut.)
“Dating is really all about confidence,” von Furstenberg says in a press statement. “It is about dressing in a way that makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. Match.com and I wanted to do something fun to encourage women to be themselves and to go for it!”
The events will also highlight the importance of fragrance (particularly the new Diane scent from you-know-who). A new study from the dating site finds that more than 76 percent of respondents have been attracted to someone because of their scent, while more than 56 percent can still name an ex's fragrance.
“We are excited to partner with one of the fashion industry’s most iconic designers,” adds Mandy Ginsberg, President of Match.com. “In dating, first impressions are key—and that includes all five senses. There's no one better than DVF to help singles learn about confidence and style."
Hey, if she can help sort out that Milan Fashion Week headache, she may just be the one to deal with our love lives!
