It’s only a matter of days before Giambattista Valli’s party-ready pieces for Macy’s Impulse hits stores, and already, the retailer has a successor lined up.

Doo-Ri Chung, designer of the Doo.Ri label, will create a capsule collection for the department store, set to launch February 15, 2012.

"My clothes have always been about making women feel elegant and modern, which is why I am so excited about this capsule collection,” said Chung in a release. “It truly embodies the confidence and creativity of the modern woman."

The looks—featuring Chung’s signature draping, arty prints, knits, faux leather, and outerwear—will retail for between $39 and $159.

“We are thrilled to reveal Doo-Ri as the next and first female designer to partner with Macy’s designer capsule collection program,” said Jeff Gennette, Macy’s chief merchandising officer. “Doo-Ri understands what women want to wear and how elements like fabric and silhouette can flatter the body. The collection’s balance of ultra-feminine styling and use of print and color embodies exactly what our customer is looking for when shopping for spring fashion.”

Chung is the fifth designer in Macy’s Impluse capsule collection series, following Matthew Williamson, Karl Lagerfeld, Kinder Aggugini, and Valli.
