A first look at the Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s collection.
Brace yourselves, girls. The rumored Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s capsule collection is no rumor. In fact, we have seen the collection with our own eyes—not just sketches. Dear readers, come the end of this month (Aug. 31 to be exact) you’ll be able to own a bit of the Kaiser yourself.
The line, available at 235 Macy’s stores nationwide and online, consists of a mix of dresses, shorts, blouses, and yes, tees featuring Lagerfeld’s visage. What, you were expecting something more self-deprecating perhaps?

The fabrications run the gamut from tweed to cotton, and even some leathery leggings for good measure. You know, a little something for everyone, which is what, it seems, the designer was looking for.
“To me Macy’s is the perfect department store in the U.S. where everybody can find what they’re looking for without ruining their budget,” said Lagerfeld in a press release. “That’s why I am happy to make this limited collection just for Macy’s.”
The dresses were perhaps the standouts of the collection, ranging from a tuxedo style to a bright pink body-con look. From demure to tough-girl. Karl really has his bases covered. And with items priced between $50 to $170, you can afford to snatch up a few different pieces.
And this isn’t the last of Macy’s designer collabs (Matthew Williamson launched his earlier this year);

Giambattista Valli is said to be up next with more on the way. We love this high style/affordable pricing meet-up pairing as, let’s be honest, does our wallet.
