Top honor: Victoria Beckham and Lady Gaga are headed for the hat hall of fame.

It's amazing what a little Philip Treacy hat can do for you.

Just ask Victoria Beckham and Lady Gaga, whose head-turning toppers from the star milliner have helped land them a place in the Headwear Association's Hall of Fame (yes, there is such a thing). (Side note: Princess Beatrice was totally robbed.)

"Her choices run the gamut from chic military caps and dramatic fedoras to artful Philip Treacy creations," the Headwear Association says of Beckham in a press release. "Her royal wedding hat put her on numerous best-dressed lists. Beckham also takes her love of hats to her own runways–repeatedly showing hats with her signature Victoria Beckham Collection."

Gaga, meanwhile, is praised for her "theatrical headwear," which has included lobsters, lacy veils, and, um, raw meat.

Joining the ladies on the list of Hall of Fame inductees for 2012 is LL Cool J (keeping Kangol in business since the '80s), cowboy hat fan Kid Rock, and classic screen stars Fred Astaire and Marlene Dietrich, both of whom seriously knew how to work a top hat.

The celebrities will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame on April 19, 2012. Hats off!
