Nicholas Kirkwood to Open U.S. Flagship Store in New York City
Get ready for another British invasion ...
Footwear darling Nicholas Kirkwood will at last be stepping foot on U.S. soil with his first Stateside flagship boutique, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
Due to open in early 2012, the 1,500-square-foot space will be located at 807 Washington Street in New York City’s West Village. (Cobblestones and stacked double-platforms? We like a challenge!)
Popular with the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker and Rihanna, the Swarovski Award-winning designer has collaborated with Prabal Gurung, Erdem, and Rodarte in the past, and currently has a line of his signature architectural heels inspired by the late artist Keith Haring.
He launched his first standalone boutique, on London’s Mount Street, earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Band of Outsiders is also getting some British love.
