CFDA 2011 Awards Nominees Announced
On March 16 at Diane von Furstenberg’s Meatpacking District studio in NYC, the Council of Fashion Designers of America president (that would be DVF) announced the nominees and honorees of the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards.
Lady Gaga will likely make an appearance at the gala, to be held June 6 at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall; the pop star is being honored with the Fashion Icon Award.
Céline’s Phoebe Philo will receive the International Award, the Telegraph’s Hilary Alexander will take the Eugenia Sheppard Award, InStyle’s Hal Rubenstein will be honored with the Founders Award, and the CFDA Board of Directors Special Tribute Award will go to photographer Arthur Elgort.
