Gucci Frontwoman Blake Lively ‘Still an Ambassador for Chanel’
Is Blake Lively's new role as the face of Gucci's Première fragrance rubbing her pals at Chanel the wrong way?
Not at all, a source tells Page Six, insisting that the Gossip Girl actress—and onetime Chanel Mademoiselle handbag campaign star—is still on good terms with the French fashion house despite skipping its couture show last month and signing on with Gucci.
In fact, from the sounds of it, the blonde beauty is still a proud member of Team Karl.
"Blake is still an ambassador to Chanel and regularly keeps in touch with designer Karl Lagerfeld," the source says. "She was invited to the couture show but couldn’t make it because she was promoting [her new film] Savages. She still wears Chanel whenever she can."

There you have it. Though Lively has called working with Chanel "such an honor," rumors have persisted over the past year that her all-American good looks didn't jibe with the labels history of working with European beauties. Chanel denied the rift last year, but did tap Brit model Alice Dellal to front its latest Boy handbag campaign.
Oh well. As long as she doesn't fall out with Christian Louboutin, Blake should be fine!
