Harper’s Bazaar Martin Scorsese Tribute
Keanu Reeves giving Robert De Niro a run for his money? Whoa.
The actor—sporting a buzz cut rather than De Niro's original mohawk, plus a checked Ermenegildo Zegna shirt—gets his Travis Bickle on in a Taxi Driver-inspired photo shoot that pairs him with Chloe Moretz (in Lolita-esque Yves Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton) as the young prostitute once played by Jodie Foster.
It's all part of a Jason Schmidt-photographed Martin Scorsese tribute staged by the November issue of Harper's Bazaar, which recreates scenes from the iconic director's most famous films.
That includes Kate Bosworth getting nuzzled Age of Innocence-style while wearing white lace Givenchy Haute Couture; a Valentino-clad Christina Hendricks getting up close and personal with Jack Huston in a scene from Gangs of New York; and a blonde bob-rocking Emily Blunt waiting tables for Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.
Goodfellas and The Aviator also get shout-outs, while Scorsese alums like Winona Ryder, Sharon Stone, and Tom Cruise share stories from the set and insights into the director's personality.
"His women are very strong," Cameron Diaz tells the fashion tome. "Look at his late mother. It's a perfect depiction of how he looks at women. His mother was everything to him. He put her in the movies—and she totally ran the show."
She must have done something right!
