"Check my tag" Michelle Trachtenberg said as she turned around so we could look inside her dress for a label. "It's something Ermanno," the actress told us. Yep, Ermanno Scervino.

"I was actually wearing a completely different dress tonight. ... a very Audrey Hepburn-inspired dress and then I was at another event earlier and I saw this," Trachtenberg revealed.

As part of Fashion's Night Out, she joined Hayden Panettiere and Stuart Weitzman at the footwear designer's Madison Avenue boutique to celebrate their involvement in his Young Hollywood Cares Collection.

The charitable line, which also includes shoes co-designed by Scarlett Johansson and Olivia Palermo, is available exclusively online and at Stuart Weitzman stores, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to ovarian cancer research.

Trachtenberg talked to FashionEtc about what inspired her Stuart Weitzman heels, fall must-haves, Fashion Week plans, and Gossip Girl.

"They are so comfortable. It’s the cushioning on the inside and the platform," the star said holding the calfskin extreme platform pump with stud detailing down the back.

Stuart Weitzman and Trachtenberg engage in a little shoe talk at the footwear designer's FNO event.

She turned to Weitzman, who had joined our conversation, and gushed, "You know what you're doing because my feet don’t hurt. People think that pain from shoes comes from them being too narrow, but I think it’s from the sole of your foot not being supported. Am I right?"

"You gotta get support to the arch, otherwise all the weight goes on the metatarsal and that’s when it starts to burn, so you have to build a shoe that covers the whole foot, not just here and here," explained Weitzman.

"We designed them in like 20 minutes," the actress chimed in.

"I don't know about that," laughed Weitzman.

"OK, it was like a half hour," Trachtenberg conceded. "I knew exactly what I wanted. I needed the snakeskin and I needed the color [a bluish purple]. I was inspired by Old Hollywood pinups. I love back-seam stockings. I think it's the sexiest thing to have that line going down the back of your leg as you walk away. I actually really wanted to wear back-seam tights tonight but i didn't."

She also promised that her love to hate Gossip Girl character, Georgina, would appear in the next season of the hit CW series. "There is always Georgina in every season. Last season, when I was pregnant on the show, I tried to spread the rumor that I was actually pregnant so everyone would say, 'Oh my god, you look so great after having a baby,'" she confessed. "But it never took off. Somehow they didn't believe me."

Turning to fall fashion, Trachtenberg said, "I'm a coats girl. I'm loving that there's a lot of faux fur choices because I love real fur, but you have to be kind. I love cable-knit sweaters. Literally all my friends always say I never dress for summer. I always dress for winter, even in the summer."

As for Fashion Week, the star told us that she is looking forward to seeing her favorite shows: "Marchesa will be great. Rebecca Minkoff also—she's my girl. Basically, just seeing my friends. I haven’t seen the New York crew in a while."

A girl after our own heart!
