Estella Warren Sentenced to Six Months in Rehab
It’s off to rehab for Estella Warren.
After pleading no contest to charges of driving under the influence, the model/actress was sentenced to six months of residential rehab on August 19, People reports.
The former Chanel stunner was facing up to six months in jail following her May 23 Los Angeles arrest, in which police sources allege that she hit three parked cars, fled the scene, resisted arrest, kicked an officer, and—phew!—tried to break out of jail after getting out of her handcuffs.
“I take my actions and their consequences very seriously,” the 32-year-old Warren said in a statement. “I can’t express enough how grateful I am that no one was injured or hurt. Moving forward I am focusing all my efforts on my career, my family, and being a good influence [on] others.”
Frank Mateljan, spokesman for the Los Angeles city attorney, says that Warren, who was also convicted of drunken driving in 2007, will serve five years of informal probation.
A hearing is scheduled for October 7 to determine if she must pay any restitution.
