The cast of Glee gears up for Fashion's Night Out in the September issue of Vogue.
The cast of songbirds (minus resident divas Mercedes and Santana, sob) gets glammed up in red, black, white, and silver ensembles for the magazine's September issue, which celebrates the show's participation in Fashion's Night Out 2011.
Last seen hitting Broadway for nationals, Lea Michele and co. are back to give the Big Apple (and Anna Wintour) some major love with a music video tribute featuring their cover of David Bowie's "Fashion."
Launching on Vogue.com at 12:01 a.m. on August 23, the video will be followed by a special PSA hitting TV screens on the 24th.
To help them look the part, Vogue editor Tabitha Simmons played stylist for the shoot and video, getting Michele to ditch her reindeer sweaters and knee-high socks in favor of one seriously sexy metallic Balmain cocktail dress paired with peep-toe booties.
And though he swears Kevin McHale is the real fashionisto in the group, actor Chris Colfer says the FNO plug is a natural fit for his style-obsessed alter ego, Kurt Hummel, who wore Alexander McQueen to prom.
“I did all my shopping at my small-town Target," he tells the magazine. "Maybe if I dressed better I wouldn’t have had such a hard time in school. Now, as Kurt, I get to wear all these amazing things, by people whose names I can’t even pronounce.”
