Is Kim Kardashian ready to say yes to the dress?
The reality star—set to wed basketball star Kris Humphries—met with Vera Wang on June 27, sparking speculation that she'll be wearing the bridal queen's designs on her big day, the New York Post reports.
Accompanied by her sister Kourtney and a camera crew (of course!), Kim met the designer at her Madison Avenue boutique in NYC before heading to Sant Ambroeus to "talk dresses," sources tell the paper.
Wang—who designed Khloe Kardashian's 2009 wedding gown—might just be the perfect choice for the curvaceous star given statements she's made about her dream dress.
“I am so excited," she confided to Ryan Seacrest on June 20. "I have been, you know just pulling tears of dresses that I’ve really admired, women that I’ve seen. I think I would want to do something really classic and Old Hollywood. A friend of mine said, ‘Pick one feature that you’d want to accentuate—but you can’t accentuate it all. Don’t be your typical sexy Kim. Do something totally different.’ I still want to be myself, but I want it to be so different.
The bride-to-be is also looking to her fellow celebrities for inspiration.
“There’s really risky things like Audrey Hepburn, where she wore this shorter dress that I thought was so cute,” she said. “But like Christina Aguilera’s dress—the shape of it was really beautiful.
"I found a lot so now it’s just ‘How do I fit those bits and pieces from everyone else and make it so unique?’ and something of my own."
Well, hiring Vera Wang should do the trick.
