Pantene Names Eva Mendes, Naomi Watts Celebrity Ambassadors

Don't hate them because they're beautiful!

Eva Mendes and Naomi Watts have signed on as the latest celebrity ambassadors for Pantene, starring in a print and TV campaign slated to launch this July.

And though Mendes—last spied in a campaign for Europe's Peek & Cloppenburg department store—was just named as Watts's replacement for Thierry Mugler's Angel ads, the two actresses appear to have common ground over their love for the hair-care brand.

Modeling thick brunette waves and glamorous gowns, Mendes will support the Breakage to Strength collection, which works to repair damaged hair—something the starlet knows a thing or two about.

“The amount of torture I put my hair through with flatirons, blow-dryers, and curling irons leaves my hair extremely damaged,” Mendes says. “With Pantene I can use all of these tools and still keep my hair healthy … It’s amazing to be working with a brand like Pantene that is so honest; there were no tricks on the set of the photo shoot. Each look was natural and never manipulated, and my hair looked healthy and beautiful for every shot. Pantene products truly live up to what they promise.”

Meanwhile, Watts sports a more ethereal, all-natural look as she pairs tousled waves with a sweater layered over a long white dress.

“I am excited to join the Pantene family," she says. "I want to let women with fine hair know that achieving beautiful, voluminous hair is possible without damaging your hair or adding extensions. I am truly blown away by the research and science that goes into making Pantene. No matter what your hair type is, you can find a Pantene product that will give you the result you are looking for. Since I became a mother, the time I have for myself has shrunk dramatically. Also, I have never been able to do my own hair. So I am thrilled with Pantene because the quality of the products helps me get the volume I want with very little effort at all.”

Chosen for their "undeniable beauty and confidence," Mendes and Watts follow in the footsteps of past Pantene ambassadors like Gisele Bündchen, Stacy London, and Padma Lakshmi.
