GIANT Fashion Show to Celebrate Harper’s Bazaar’s 15th Anniversary!
On the evening of Wednesday, April 19, plan to look up – way up! From 8:30pm until midnight a massive fashion show will be projected onto the northern side of the Empire State Building!
Presented by Glenda Bailey, editor in chief of Harper’s Bazaar, and Jennifer De Winter, senior Vice President of the Americas of Tiffany & Co, this light show is in celebration of Harper’s 150th anniversary.
Spanning an incredible 42 floors, 186 feet wide and 500 tall, the 150 images presented will feature
retro Harper’s cover images, such as Toni Frissell’s photograph of Carolyn Schnurer, originally seen
on the May 1947 issue, as well as images from, and of, icons such as Andy Warhol, Audrey Hepburn,
and so many more!
Planning started over 2 years ago, and while Harper’s is staying tight lipped at the final cost of this project, Ms. Bailey has promised, “It’s wildly expensive but it will be worth every penny.”
If you can’t make it to the show, Harper’s Bazaar will be streaming the show live on their Facebook page.
