Oprah in Escada and Jil Sander
Oprah Winfrey. Terry Richardson. Now there are two names we never thought we'd see in the same sentence.
And yet, the November issue of Harper's Bazaar sees the talk show queen posing for the hipster lensman as she channels John Travolta in a white Escada pantsuit and wraps up in a red Jil Sander coat and a fistful of rings from Harry Winston and Cartier.
The 58-year-old also opens up about moving on from her beloved chat show to heading the OWN network. Predictably, there's an inspiring life lesson involved.

"When you have reached the peak of a mountaintop, which is where I was with the Oprah show, you have absolutely no worries," she tells the magazine. "I'd been in the right space at the right time, and I'd done that in the best way possible for 25 years. But you have two choices: You can come down from the mountain and spend the rest of your days thinking it was so beautiful there, or you can create a vision, look upward, see the next mountain, and start the climb all over again."
The type of woman to berate herself for mediating for 12 minutes instead of 20, Winfrey says she is constantly trying to be daring, which she describes as "seeing the space between where I am and where I want to go."
"It's pretty wide! But having the faith to take the leap anyway and knowing that no matter where you land, it's going to be okay. And I feel really good that I did."
Bravo. Winfrey also reveals that she starts her day at 5:45 or 6 in the morning with a protein shake followed by meditation and a workout, and is looking forward to returning to movie screens with a role in Lee Daniels' 'The Butler.'
But don't worry, folks. This busy bee knows how to relax, too. Winfrey calls taking indulgent baths her "hobby," and it's safe to say that she has some X-rated reading material to enjoy while she's having a soak.
"Oh, I've got all the [50] Shades, for the time I can take some guilty pleasure and just read," she admits. "But I'm thinking, Stop with the story, get to the juicy part!"
Hear hear!
