Looks from the Burberry Prorsum 2013 Pre-Collection.
Between the Diamond Jubilee on TV and the omnipresent drizzle, we might as well be in Old Blighty right now. So it seemed like the perfect time to don our trench and head over to Burberry to preview Christopher Bailey's latest collection.
"We wanted the Pre-Collection to have an elegant and tailored feel to it—we played with textures and prints and wove trench references, sartorial detailing and these little hints of corsetry throughout the evening dresses, suiting and our iconic outerwear," Bailey explained in a statement. "This collection has this real heritage spirit to it—an element which is, as ever, at the heart of everything we do."

As always, the trench was the cornerstone of the collection, including our favorite new iteration, in sparkly silver. Buttery leather bomber jackets with sexy, tuxedo-like dropped lapels were another standout. Cute printed silk shorts and cropped seersucker suits were among the other looks. As for the accessories, you may want to work on your balance: towering pink platform pumps were on offer.
There was eveningwear that looked ready for house face Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, most notably a sparkly pink puff of a cocktail dress and a minimalist white gown. Something tells us they'll be coming to a red carpet very soon.
