After Katie Holmes turned up to support its Fall 2011 runway show in Milan, it was Max Mara's turn to return the favor.

The Italian label will name Holmes as the Max Mara Face of the Future at the June 16 Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards, so it seemed only fitting that the actress donned their simply-chic navy double-breasted pantsuit for a Vanity Fair pre-awards dinner held at The Soho House in Los Angeles.

Rocking glossy center-parted hair, luminous skin, and on-trend wide-legged pants, Suri's mom—who succeeds previous honorees like Zoe Saldana and Emily Blunt—was the guest of honor at the June 15 fête, which drew her The Kennedys co-star Greg Kinnear along with a slew of other A-list supporters, including Jane Fonda.

Ellen Pompeo spices things up in a dress from Max Mara's Sportmax line.

Not surprisingly, Max Mara and its Sportmax diffusion line were the party's unofficial dress code. Ellen Pompeo made the scene in a cinnamon-hued silk Sportmax dress with a peplum, while Twilighters Ashley Greene and Anna Kendrick wowed in a MaxMara strapless pantsuit and Sportmax belted V-neck dress, respectively.

Meanwhile, How I Met Your Mother star Jennifer Morrison worked some flower power in her bloom-accented Max Mara jumpsuit, while rock royal Alexandra Richards opted for the label's nude jersey number with a side-knot detail.

Hosted by Melissa McCarthy, the Women in Film awards ceremony is expected to draw its own star-studded turnout, as the fashion community and Hollywood set cheer on Holmes and fellow honorees Annette Bening and the late Dame Elizabeth Taylor. Good work, gals!

And let's here for the boys who were honered at amfAR's second annual Inspiration Gala.
