Katie Holmes Launches Valextra for Holmes & Yang Handbag Line
Devotees of Katie Holmes and stylist Jeanne Yang’s Holmes & Yang clothing line now have a new must-have piece to add to their collections. The duo has collaborated with Italian leather goods company Valextra for a luxe bag.
The Valextra for Holmes & Yang line consists of one bag in two different colorways, unveiled at a lunch at Barneys New York on Thursday.
“Their quality is exceptional,” Holmes told Women’s Wear Daily of her collaborator. “There’s such integrity in their work—they’re artists.”
“This was our first collaboration [and it’s been] really incredible,” said Valextra CEO Emanuele Carminati Molina. “We decided to follow the desires of Katie and Jeanne, who wanted to have their own bag realized by Valextra … We understood that the style is simple but very chic, clean lines, sophisticated, with a lot of attention to the details. I knew that it was good for Valextra to try, and to mix our style with their style.”
The oversize shoulder bag will come in white and navy blue or white and black, and will be available in July. Star style comes at a price: The bag will be available exclusively at Barneys for $3,950.
