Well, this is a bummer.
According to WWD, Givenchy is planning to skip the January couture shows this season, but still intends to create "high fashions and welcome clients to its salons."
This is a bit of a shocker as Givenchy is one of the most awaited couture shows each season, creating edgy, standout pieces that get snapped up for the red carpet in mere minutes.
Riccardo Tisci has been developing a more personalized couture approach for the past few years, and this year's "pause" is a result of that.
Looks like we'll just have to wait and see some of Tisci's new couture pieces on red carpet Givenchy devotees like Cate Blanchett and Beyonce, and at the upcoming Met Gala for which Tisci is co-chair.
