Missoni isn't the only big-name label with a weakness for Havaianas.
The Brazilian footwear brand has inked a collaboration deal with British designer Matthew Williamson, who has created a two-style capsule collection of rain boots in celebration of his label's 15th anniversary.
The colorful boots boast vivid prints inspired by the designer's Fall 2012 ready-to-wear collection, plus his signature peacock feather detail.
"I'm drawn to the way Havaianas capture playfulness and light-heartedness in their products—there is clearly an element of fun," Williamson tells Vogue U.K. "I wanted to embrace this sensibility in the rain boots and so chose prints that were whimsical without being kitsch."
And why wellies and not Havaianas' classic flip-flops? Trust a Brit to have an easy answer for that.
"In England, it's always raining and I feel like I'm expert in that field," he jokes. "I wanted to bring some sunshine to the rainier season."
Great. Can we get a matching umbrella while we're at it?
