It's time for Carolina Herrera to start clearing out her trophy case and working on a speech.

The womenswear designer—who recently received an honorary degree from FIT—has racked up another major recognition after being named the 2012 recipient of Fashion Group International's (FGI) Superstar award, Women's Wear Daily reports.

"Carolina is an international icon and a brilliant businesswoman," FGI president Margaret Hayes says. "For over three decades, she's remained true to her elegant design aesthetic in everything—from her signature collection to her bridal, accessories, and fragrance collections—while presiding over a global business with a singular focus on excellence. She has an innate understanding of what smart, chic women everywhere want when it comes to style and beauty."

Herrera, who designed Bella's Breaking Dawn wedding dress, will pick up the award on October 25 at the "Night of Stars" gala, where Derek Lam, Gareth Pugh, Haider Ackermann, and Max Mara will also be honored.

Past Superstar recipients include Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Donna Karan, and Oscar de la Renta—not a bad club to join!
