While President Obama is vying for four more years in the White House, his fashionable supporter Diane von Furstenberg has easily bagged a fourth term as president of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA).
"Diane has done an excellent job as CFDA president,” CFDA CEO Steven Kolb tells Women's Wear Daily of von Furstenberg's two-year extension. “The time and resources she gives and the vision she has created is a huge benefit for our organization and industry.”
And she's not the only designer with something to celebrate. Bringing its grand membership total to 427, the CFDA has welcomed 26 new members to its ranks. Welcome to the club, Joseph Altuzarra and Pamela Love!
