The biggest perk of winning the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award for Joseph Altuzarra? Probably the $300,000 prize. The biggest perk for us? That would be the designer’s capsule collection for J. Crew, hitting the web April 19.
Altuzarra created a limited-edition seven-piece collection exclusively for the beloved retailer, inspired by, he said, “Brigitte Bardot in Saint-Tropez and French preppy style.” Translation? Plenty of Breton stripes, classic denim pencil skirts, a narrow gingham dress and tie-front gingham blouses, and preppy espadrille penny loafers.

Everything in the collection retails for below $345—a far cry from Altuzarra’s often four-figure price tags in his signature line. Looks like we know what we’ll be wearing all summer…
Altuzarra for J. Crew will be available at jcrew.com April 19, and the collection will be available at J. Crew 5th Avenue on April 23. Plus, keep your eyes open for CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund runners-up Pamela Love and Creatures of the Wind—their collections will be coming to J. Crew in the coming months.
