Rachel Zoe Launching Jewelry, Cold Weather Accessories
She shot to stardom with Bravo’s The Rachel Zoe Project, but now the super stylist is focusing on growing her off-screen pursuits.
Rachel Zoe will add two new categories to her contemporary fashion collection for Fall 2012: costume jewelry and cold weather accessories.
“I’m someone who looks at my brand holistically,” Zoe told Women’s Wear Daily. “I go to style my show and I’m like, ‘I want hats. I want gloves. I want all these things. Okay, wait, I’m a designer now, so let’s do it.’”
The cold weather accessories, which will retail between $95 and $1,500, will include hats, hoods, scarves, gloves, stoles, and wrist warmers in luxe materials like cashmere, leather, and both real and faux fur. On the jewelry front, Zoe will launch Art Deco-inspired pieces trimmed with tassels, knots, Swarovski crystals and jade and onyx stones, retailing between $195 and $195.

But with the launch of these two new lines comes news that Zoe’s original product—her television show—might be coming to a close. The Rachel Zoe Project has yet to be renewed for a fifth season.
“It’s been four seasons, it’s in 20 countries,” she said. “Businessmen watch it, bankers, I get a lot of hits from a lot of different demos. So do I need it? I don’t know. After four years, maybe there’s something to be said for starting something new.”
