Aldo Goes Bananas With Spring/Summer 2012 Ad Campaign, Video
Nothing like a sassy and sweet summer-themed ad campaign to jumpstart our seasonal affective disorder.
For its Spring/Summer 2012 "Stay Cool" ad campaign, Aldo tapped go-to photographer Terry Richardson to snap models Anais Pouliot and Mat Gordon against an infectiously fun and vibrant backdrop of stacked bananas, parrots, and the biggest inner tube you'll ever see.

Naturally, covetable footwear also makes a cameo, with Pouliot climbing a green totem pole in red pumps, straddling a fake blue palm tree in strappy pink suede sandals over jade ankle socks, and showing a fake crocodile who's boss in mix-and-match yellow and cobalt wedges paired with a red envelope clutch. We. Want. It. All.
If that doesn't get you pining away for summer, the accompanying stop-motion films shot by Barnaby Roper most certainly will. Watch as Pouliot, rocking a top knot, cherry-red lipstick, heart-shaped sunnies, and a white one-piece, lets her red popsicle sloooowly fall to her feet, which are outfitted in baby blue cut-out heels over white ankle socks.

Gordon, meanwhile, makes the case for pairing a tuxedo jacket with orange swim trunks and hunter green lace-ups in his water-soaked ad. We know what we'll be dreaming about tonight ...
