Aldo's Spring/Summer 2011 Campaign Video Makes a Splash
Is it summer yet?
We've barely made a dent into spring but we're already longing for the beach thanks to this playful, nautical-themed Spring/Summer 2011 campaign film from Aldo Shoes.
The footwear giant is following up last season's Jessica Stam ads with a Terry Richardson–shot beachy bonanza starring models Lily Donaldson and Sean O'Pry.
Making a splash in vibrant red, yellow and blue ensembles featuring a heavy helping of nautical stripes, the photogenic pair cavort with stuffed marlins, surfboards, beach chairs, and fishing nets for the quirky video.
Giant beach balls, waves, and lemon slices add a touch of kitsch, but our favorite props have to be the fake shark heads, especially when paired with killer peep-toe platforms and boots. Do we smell another Jaws remake?
