Courteney Cox graces the April cover of Harper’s Bazaar.

The single life certainly seems to suit Courteney Cox. Five months after splitting from husband of 11 years David Arquette, the Cougar Town star is appearing in the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar looking as gorgeous as ever.

Cox, who was photographed by Terry Richardson, appears in a close-up shot on the cover, her glossy raven hair framing her glowing, dewy skin, smoky eyes, and minimal makeup.

Inside the magazine, the 46-year-old actress looks equally stunning, posing in a striped blue tank dress plus an armful of bangles, and a belted batwing-sleeve number with a plunging neckline and strappy heels.

Despite her sunny smile, however, Cox admits the past few months haven’t been easy. Reflecting on her separation from Arquette, she tells the magazine, “I think every relationship has a point where you stop and reevaluate. Are you happy? Have you grown together or apart? What do you share interests in? I think that’s a normal thing to do, but it’s so much harder when it’s done publicly.”

Hearing her estranged husband air their dirty laundry during an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show was especially difficult. But, Cox says, “You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person. He was dealing with things the best way he could. And don’t get me wrong, he was on a show for entertainment. David is smart, and David is also a showman. He knew what he was doing … but I don’t think he’ll be doing more Howard Stern any time soon.”

Dress to impress: The actress goes glam for Harper’s Bazaar.

Though Cox has been linked to Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt, she denies rumors of a romance. “He’s a really good friend of mine, so I don’t care,” she says. “He’s a great guy, and he’s definitely been a part of my support system.”

As for seeing other men, Cox has no desire to date at the moment. “I’m not saying never. It just seems weird,” she says. “I don’t even know how that would happen or how you meet people. I really don’t like to go out. I’m not great at small talk.”

For now, the former Friends star is focusing her attention on Coco, her 6-year-old daughter with Arquette.

“She’s our number-one priority,” says Cox. “No matter what happens, she’ll be OK because she knows that she is completely safe, loved, and we’ll protect that more than anything in the world.”

And Coco is equally protective of her mommy, especially when it comes to giving her style advice. Cox—who learned important makeup tips from her photo shoot, according to her behind-the-scenes video—tells the magazine, “I was walking out, and she goes, ‘I don’t want you to wear red lipstick.’”
