Cindy Crawford’s Daughter Kaia Models for Young Versace
The face of the Young Versace childrenswear line may only be 10 years old, but she's got an inside track of what it takes to be a supermodel: Mom Cindy Crawford.
Kaia Gerber, Crawford's daughter with nightlife empresario Rande Gerber, appears to have inherited her mom's dark mane, stunning features, and supermodel savvy in the just-released Spring 2012 ad campaign, photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
The trendy tween rocks a black leather jacket, Greek key-printed mini, and sandals paired with black socks for the shoot, which echoes some of the work Crawford has done for the label as a '90s-era muse for the late Gianni Versace.
"Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift," Donatella Versace, who just opened the first Young Versace store in Milan, says in a press statement.
"The camera really, really loves her. Having Cindy on-set for the shoot took me back to all the amazing Avedon shoots we worked on together. It was such a special treat watching Kaia walk in her mother's footsteps."
"I'm so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign," adds proud mama Crawford.
"I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace. Being on-set with my daughter watching her in front of the camera was a fantastic experience. I am so proud of her."
