Brad Goreski Named Kate Spade Brand Stylist
His relationship with former boss Rachel Zoe may be rocky (they no longer speak, he recently told FashionEtc), but it looks like smooth sailing for Brad Goreski and Kate Spade New York.
After hiring the It's a Brad Brad World star to style its Fall 2011 presentation, the label has signed him to an exclusive two-year deal as brand stylist, Women's Wear Daily reports.
Goreski will work with creative director Deborah Lloyd to take "the Kate Spade girl to the next level," which will include boosting its social media profile.
"I’m a huge tweeter," he tells WWD. "I use it as my way to really interact with people, and part of my job will be collaborating [with Kate Spade] in all areas of social media to get people involved and more excited about the brand.”
He will also be tasked with styling everything from ad campaigns to fashion presentations.
"The brand is known for its accessories, and their ready-to-wear is fairly new and [it’s] Deb’s baby,” Goreski says of his new role.
“We see so many people carrying the bags and the accessories. It’s my hope to get the ready-to-wear out there and see it more on the streets and see people playing with it and making it their own.”
"I have been a fan of Brad’s sense of style and spirit from afar for some time now," adds Lloyd.
"When I began to consider a stylist with whom I could really build an ongoing relationship and one whom I trusted, he was the first that came to mind. Besides being a great stylist, he is a joy to be around and a true gentleman. He keeps me laughing and keeps me on my toes."
We can't wait to see the results of this meeting of the fashion minds.
