Glamour to Unveil Redesign in March
It will still be plenty, well, glam—but come March, Glamour will have a whole new look.
In response to a tough 2011—newsstand sales are reportedly down 17 percent, with ad pages down 7 percent—Glamour will redesign its magazine and Web site, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
New columns, new contributors, and a whole new look (courtesy of the former art director of Nylon) are in store, and the glossy will apparently have more of a focus on pop culture.
“The format of many women’s magazines—Glamour included!—hasn’t changed much for a decade, but young women are consuming media in totally different ways now,” Glamour editor in chief Cindi Leive told WWD.
“Our team is creating a new Glamour and glamour.com for this new generation of readers—we’ll share it with them this spring.”
