Ready for a Very Lanvin Christmas? Of course you are.

After teaming up with (ahem) John Galliano last year and in 2009, Claridge's has found a fashionable new Santa's Helper to transform its Christmas tree into a work of art: Lanvin's Alber Elbaz.

Though the tree itself won't be unveiled until November 22, Elbaz is promising a "colorful and whimsical design" accented with marionettes outfitted in Lanvin's take on the London hotel's staff uniforms. The tree will be on display in the lobby until January 2.

“The concept of the Christmas Tree decoration is to create an installation that carries the spirit of Lanvin, an infusion of tradition and modernity at the same time," Elbaz says in a press statement. "The tree is to emanate and bring heartwarming joy to all who work and stay as guests at Claridge's hotel: It's my way to wish them a very Merry Christmas.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Elbaz this year to spread the Christmas magic in our iconic lobby," adds Claridge's general manager Thomas Kochs.

"It is simply wonderful to see this talented designer decorate the tree in his whimsical style. The House of Lanvin and Claridge’s are synonymous with longstanding tradition and timeless glamour, and we are sure to bring the Christmas magic alive this festive season.”

This is the third designer holiday tree for the esteemed hotel. Clearly, somebody read our letter to Santa ...
