Alber Elbaz on the ‘Journey’ of Lanvin Resort
If you’re looking for a clear, concise inspiration cited for the lovely Lanvin resort collection, you’re barking up the wrong tree.
“It’s a journey—from vacations, to ethnic costumes, to Elizabeth Taylor, to Madame Gres…” Alber Elbaz told TheLookNow’s Harriet Mays Powell. “It’s a mix of so many things that I went through in the month and a half that I was working on the collection. It’s just to show that design is part of life…not like you wake up in the middle of the night and you dreamed of Leonardo da Vinci. Everything takes us somewhere, and I just wanted to share with you all the moments that I went through.”
There must have been some beautiful moments—from the gorgeously draped dresses, to the fringe, to the brand-new kids’ line, we’re smitten.
