Carine Roitfeld Stars in Barneys Fall Campaign
The first family of fashion may very well be Carine Roitfeld and her model-gorgeous brood—that’s art director/model Julia and curator/model Vladimir—so what better faces to put in Barneys New York’s Fall ad campaign?
Roitfeld’s partnership with the department store was announced back in March, but the fruits of their labor have just been released: a slew of ads and images for Fall 2011 that include her aforementioned children and fashionable friends like Marie Amelie Sauve, Victoire de Castellane, Dasha Zukhova, and Naomi Campbell, Women’s Wear Daily reports.
Of course, being Barneys, their ensembles are rather impressive: Fall wares from Givenchy, Balenciaga, Alaïa, Proenza Schouler, and Fendi will all make appearances.
The images will not only run in September magazines, but they’ll do double duty in Barneys windows and elsewhere inside the stores.
Appropriately, Roitfeld (sporting black Rick Owens) will cover the Barneys women’s designer book, which was shot by Mario Sorrenti, all on her own.
