Adriana Lima Launches Victoria’s Secret’s Bombshell Summer Tour
Just last week, Victoria’s Secret kicked off the hottest season of them all with its annual What Is Sexy? list. Now, the lingerie giant is spreading its signature brand of sexy with the Bombshell Summer tour.
Angels will be dropping by VS shops around the continent—starting with Adriana Lima, who greeted a large crowd at the Soho store in New York City on May 19.
“They [fans] get very shy, actually; they’re very nervous!” Lima told FashionEtc when she stopped by the nearby Mondrian hotel before her VS appearance. “They don’t know how to act.”
One might suspect that her Amazonian stature and jaw-dropping beauty catches people off guard, but Lima was modest: “I don’t think they get intimidated! They’re just nervous. But they’re very nice.”
Her tips for borrowing some of that bombshell swagger? Victoria’s Secret, naturally. “The most important thing is to be confident—but there are things you can do to help yourself, like choosing the right lingerie and the right swimsuits!” she said, noting the brand’s Miraculous collection, which adds two cup sizes, and the new Bombshell Balconet.
Didn’t make it to Manhattan for the one-on-one Bombshell training? No worries. Erin Heatherton will visit Chicago on May 25, Doutzen Kroes will appear in Toronto on May 31 and then Dallas on June 9, and Alessandra Ambrosio will visit Miami on June 2.
“It’s quite exciting!” Lima said of the tour—though she divulged that her summer will be a bit more low-key.
“I will definitely be in Miami with my family,” she said. “Family time!” (That would be her equally gorgeous husband, Marko Jaric, and their 18-month-old daughter, Valentina.)
“She is the sunshine of my life,” Lima said of Valentina. “She’s beautiful. She’s the newest Angel, I say. Watch out for her!”
