Doutzen Kroes Will Go to Space in 2014
Less than a week ago we were marveling at Doutzen Kroes’s latest career move, a role in the upcoming Dutch 3-D film Nova Zembla. But the Victoria’s Secret model and new mom has an even bigger project in the works: going to space.
We know what you’re thinking, and this isn’t a belated April Fools’s joke (we don’t think).
According to the Web site Dance4Life.com, Kroes will be on board the first Dutch commercial flight to space, slated to launch in 2014.
“My work has literally brought me to the most beautiful places on earth,” Kroes says on the site. “But apparently nothing is as beautiful as the view of the Earth from space. Astronauts who have been lucky enough to have had that experience say it is life changing. I cannot wait to go.”
Kroes is allegedly one of a group of Founder Astronauts who’ve been personally invited on the Space Expedition Curaçao flight, along with Martin Schröder, founder of the airline Martinair, DJ Armin van Buuren, and Erica Terpstra, a member of the advisory board for Dance4Life.
