Anderson Cooper Hosting CFDA Awards
This just in: Anderson Cooper is going from headlines to hemlines.
The CNN newsman has been named as the host of the 2011 CFDA Awards, which will be held at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in New York City on June 6.
"Anderson Cooper’s involvement in this year’s gala will lend yet another exciting dimension to fashion’s biggest awards,” CFDA president Diane von Furstenberg says in a statement.
And though he's best known for his hard-hitting reporting, Cooper does boast a secret fashion pedigree: His mother is '70s-era jeans goddess Gloria Vanderbilt.
With Marc Jacobs and Lady Gaga being honored and the likes of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Reed Krakoff, Pamela Love, Eddie Borgo, and Alexander Wang vying for awards, this year's ceremony should be a memorable one.
Now, can we hope for a Wolf Blitzer cameo?
