The Fashion Girls for Japan event features over 60 designers.

The fashion world has been making major efforts to aid the people of Japan but it’s not nearly finished yet.

Fashion Girls for Japan, a two-day designer sample sale, will take place in New York on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3. The event—organized by executives at VPL, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Barneys New York, and fashion showroom The News, along with Julie Gilhart lending support as well—will feature over 60 participating designers and 60-plus rolling racks of covetable clothes, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Japan Society’s Japan Earthquake Relief Fund, the Red Cross, and the NYC Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Fund.

Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, Chris Benz, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, Helmut Lang, Mandy Coon, Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone, Theyskens’ Theory, Thakoon, and Yigal Azrouël are just a few of the participants (see a full list here) who will set up shop at the Bowery Hotel’s Bowery Terrace.

The sample sale will feature a lineup of DJs, some of whom hail from Japan. Tickets cost $5 (although further donations are welcome) and can be purchased at fashiongirlsforjapan.com or store.vplnyc.com.
