Marc Jacobs' Spring 2011 Getaway—Caught on Film
The Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 campaign film (add it to the list!) features a trio of models having the girlie weekend of our dreams—complete with swanky accommodations, a bottle of bubbly, and gorgeous fashion, of course.
Filmed by Kalvin Lazarte for Play Nice at New York City's Jane Hotel and scored by Sleigh Bells' "Ring Ring" by, the video look book puts the spotlight on the new collection's lust-worthy handbags (Wellingtons, Sullivans, and Lacquered Stams, oh my!) as the gal pals check into their room, primp, make a champagne toast, and enjoy an evening of playing dress up and paparazzi.
Not surprisingly, it all ends with the ladies—outfitted in '70s-style silky tunics, high-waist trousers, and printed dresses from the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2011 line—trashing their room with empty champagne flutes, shopping bags, and a whirlwind of clothes. In other words, just another day at our place.
