Agyness Deyn Quits Modeling

    Another one bites the dust.

After 10+ years in the modeling world, Agyness Deyn has officially called it quits to take on acting full time.

"I suppose I have stopped modeling officially," the Brit model told The Independent. But she leaves the world of catwalks and Vogue editorials with nothing but happy memories.

"I enjoyed modeling. Oh god, I loved it. Being 18 years old, from Manchester, and suddenly having this new world to explore – being able to travel, meet all these different people, and immerse myself in all these different cultures – was just so much fun."

Aggy got her big silver screen break in 2010 as Aphrodite in Clash of the Titans, and has gone on to film other movies including several short films and Pusher, in which she plays a stripper

"I think it was about four years ago when my feelings were changing towards the [modeling] industry. I didn't hate it, but I was yearning to do something different. I was on a gradient. It was a gradual thing," she said.

This isn't the first time a model has ditched the runway for the silver screen; indeed Aggy joins a number of models-turned-actresses including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lily Cole, and Gemma Ward.

Having an actor as a husband certainly helps, but do you think Aggy has what it takes to make it in the acting world?
